Free webinar on Transformative Negotiation for MBBO members!
Join Dr. Sarah Federman for a powerful and practical exploration of Transformative Negotiation, rooted in the themes of equity, justice, and social change—principles that deeply align with the mission of Mediators Beyond Borders Oceania. Drawing from her award-winning book, Dr. Federman will unpack how negotiation can be a vehicle for empowerment, especially for individuals navigating systems of power and oppression.
This session is particularly relevant for MBBO members working across diverse communities and conflict contexts. You’ll gain tools to recognize how identity—heritage, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, and more—shapes both the negotiation process and outcomes. Dr. Federman brings theory to life through compelling real-world cases, including stories from her students negotiating with courts for child custody or advocating with federal agencies for basic rights.
Whether you mediate in local communities, across cultures, or in post-conflict zones, this webinar will deepen your understanding of negotiation as a transformative tool for social mobility and systemic change.
