She's passionate about the benefits of mediation for providing timely, cost effective and empowering ways for people to resolve disputes before they escalate into entrenched conflict or violence.
Joanne is also a director of the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) and a past director of the National Mediation Conference.
She has been supporting International Mediation Awareness Week since it first began as a way to educate about the benefits from using mediation rather than adversarial approaches to conflict resolution.
